Living in Charlottesville, Virginia: WillowTree is located in Charlottesville, Virginia, a small city that consistently receives rave reviews from publications like USA Today and Forbes Magazine. National Geographic named Charlottesville and Monticello as one of its 10 World Wonders. Residents can easily take advantage of Charlottesville’s four season climate and Virginia Beach, Wintergreen Ski Resort, and Washington D.C. are all within a few hours drive. In the warmer months, there are dozens of award-winning vineyards and breweries to visit, along with Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello home, hiking trails, and apple picking farms. The Blue Ridge Mountains, Skyline Drive, and the Shenandoah National Park are all just minutes from Charlottesville. During the summer and spring months, the downtown mall hosts Fridays after Five, an event for everyone to come out, eat, drink, and socialize. The farmer’s market is also conveniently hosted here during the warm months of the year every Saturday. Known for having one of the highest ratios of restaurants per capita, good food is easy to find. Charlottesville restaurants boast almost every type of cuisine imaginable and many organic eateries.
